Motherhood is hard, community is essential—join us on October 9th-10th, 2020

as we learn to remember God’s faithfulness and His love.

Never has it been more important to practice refreshing our souls by constantly remembering who He is, what He’s done and what He’s said.

Are you up for a DARE?

Let’s dare to pull down the walls of loneliness, separation, and frustration that prevent us from doing motherhood in community with other moms.

We need each other and we're stronger together!

Let’s dare to lean in, look past the miles between us, the denominational differences that threaten to keep us apart, the educational choices that sometimes make us feel like strangers.

We are sisters in Christ!

Let’s dare to dig deeper,

encourage one another, grow stronger together, lift our voices in worship and prayer.

We can harness the power of digital media and claim it for His GLORY!

Let’s dare to take the time to focus on His Word and invest in what matters most: our relationships with God and with each other.

We can do this—so, come alone, with a friend, or with your small group—just be sure to join me for this all new Real Refreshment Retreat Online

Worship sessions provided by Called Worship

Called Worship is Carrie Ballentine and Kerri Roberts, two women who have seen the unfailing love of God in their own lives and long to share and celebrate the goodness, enduring love, and faithfulness of God with others through worship.

Called Worship was born out of a 23-year friendship during which Carrie and Kerri have had the great privilege of truly doing life together. Walking these roads of marriage, motherhood, friendship, and ministry together has provided a deep and rich foundation from which they work to steward authentic and God-glorifying worship experiences.

Carrie Ballentine is a native of Columbia, SC. She has been married to John for 21 years, and together they have four amazing kids: Jacob, Anna Greer, Ben, and Lolly. Carrie graduated from Columbia College with a degree in Elementary Education only to ever teach her own children at home! She has been singing since she was a little girl and God began opening doors in college for her to sing and lead worship around the state. Passionate about worship and the word of God, Carrie considers it an absolute joy and privilege to be an instrument in leading people to the throne of God through worship and teaching. She has a heart for real, authentic worship and community and is so thankful that we can “approach God’s throne with grace and confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). Carrie’s family attends Columbia Crossroads Church where she served as the worship leader for over a decade.

Kerri Roberts grew up in Florence, SC and moved to Columbia, SC to attend college. There she met her husband, Brent, to whom she has been married for 21 years. She graduated from Columbia College and USC with degrees in vocal performance. Kerri and Brent have 5 kids: Caleb, Gracyn, Thomas, Maddie, and Ellie. After serving on the mission field in Zambia for 7 life-changing years, the family returned to Columbia which now serves as the home base of a missions ministry they founded, Africa Freedom Mission. Kerri serves on staff at Northeast Presbyterian Church as an Assistant Director of Music. Through this messy, beautiful journey of life, God has been working into Kerri a passion for communion, community, and commission. She longs to help women learn to grow in intimate communion with God, to find the joy of walking in vulnerable community with others, and to see their integral place in the commission of God!

In 2016, Carrie and Kerri released their first album entitled Called Worship: Fixing Our Eyes. With original worship songs that come out of their own deep places with the Lord, Fixing Our Eyes has been an album that has connected with many as Called Worship ministers at retreats and conferences and in worship services and other events. Find them on Facebook at @calledworship, Instagram at @called_worship, or email at [email protected]Fixing Our Eyes is available wherever you listen to digital music!
